The products involved are monofilament polyester high-strength yarns with a fineness of less than 67 decitex for non-retail use, excluding pre-dyed and final-processed sewing threads wound loosely on plastic perforated tubes, and Z-type multi-twist yarns. (folded) wire or cable. The EU CN (Combined Nomenclasdfssdfsture) code of the product involved is 5402 20 00 (TARIC code is 5402 2000 10). The dumping investigation in this case is from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021, and the damage analysis period is from January 1, 2018 to the end of the dumping investigation period. Barring another extension (up to 3 months), the final decision is expected to be made within 12 months.
Stakeholders should submit case comments and evidence materials within 37 days of the announcement.
On September 8, 2009, the European Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation into polyester high-strength yarn originating in China, South Korea, and Taiwan. On February 25, 2017, the European Commission made the first affirmative final ruling on the anti-dumping sunset review of the Chinese products involved, maintaining the 0-9.8% anti-dumping duty unchanged.
