According to Urumqi Customs statistics, from January to August 2011, the export value of Xinjiang’s textile yarns, fabrics and products was 4.530 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 82.89%; the export value of clothing and clothing accessories was 41.967 billion yuan yuan, a year-on-year increase of 84.87%.
In January-August 2011, the import value of Xinjiang textile yarns, fabrics and products was 28 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 82.62%; the import value of clothing and clothing accessories was 10 million yuan , a year-on-year decrease of 89.14%. </p
