On July 21, 2020, Health Canada announced a recall of Chinese-made children’s pajamas.
On May 20, 2020, the US CPSC has implemented a recall of this product.
The recalled products are BunzKidz children’s pajama sets, including robes, tops and pants. Available in sizes 2-12. Tunic and trousers are made of 100% polyester polar fleece with pink star print on a white background; top is made of 100% polyester and has long sleeves. The sewn blue label has BunzKidz printed on it, and the other label has model numbers L23846, L43846, L73846, GPU numbers 2017-246, 2017-446, and GPU2017-746.
This product does not meet the flammability standards for children’s pajamas and may cause burns to children. Loose pajamas are easy to come into contact with fire sources such as stoves and candles. Once ignited, they will burn quickly and may cause serious burns to large areas of the child’s body.
The recalled products have been sold in Canada since October 2017, with approximately 996 units sold.
As of July 16, 2020, no reports of accidents or casualties have been received.
