The International Trade Center (ITC) reported on August 25 that the COVID-19 epidemic has severely damaged the Jordanian textile and apparel industry, but Jordanian companies used the blockade period to conduct research and evaluation and look for opportunities to reshape their businesses. ITC carried out follow-up assessment and investigation of 21 Jordanian companies to study the impact of the epidemic on Jordan’s garment manufacturing industry. The survey shows that almost all companies surveyed are facing operational challenges. 94% of participants have seen a decline in local sales, about half said it is difficult to import, 26% have problems with domestic procurement, 85% have to temporarily stop production, and 59% are ready to expand locally and regionally. market, 47% will invest in digital platforms and e-commerce. </p
