India is likely to unveil a plan to establish a massive textile park aimed at positioning the country as a fully integrated, globally competitive manufacturing and export hub.
The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Textiles are discussing the plan, which provides more incentives to investors and developers in the park. An official said: We have forwarded the plan to the finance ministry and if adopted, the plan will benefit the Indian textile industry.

The Ministry of Textiles has proposed the development of seven giant integrated textile and apparel (MITRA) parks as part of a plan to double the scale of the industry by 2025/26, equivalent to approximately 3,000 One hundred million U.S. dollars.
