Pan said that 88 of Nike’s 222 factories in Vietnam are located in Southeast Asia and specialize in the production of Nike brand’s very popular sports shoe products. Pan emphasized that the complex situation of the domestic new crown epidemic has affected the production activities of enterprises engaged in the textile, clothing and footwear industries. Nike has moved orders to other countries, but it has not moved its production lines out of Vietnam. That is untrue news.
Pham Joon Anh, deputy director of the Industrial Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, also confirmed that there is no case of Nike moving its production lines out of Vietnam.
