1. The structure and basic dimensions of the heald frame (Figure 5-1, Figure 5-2)

(1) The distance H between the heald rods (heald frame and heald distance) is determined by the distance between the heald ears.
(2) The working width E of the heald frame is equal to the working length of the pendant heald rod.
(3) The width L of the heald frame is determined by the structure of the loom and should be mutually agreed upon by the machine manufacturer and the purchaser.
2. Determination of heald frame and heald distance
According to the specifications of the healds, the speed of the loom and the density of the fabric, refer to Table 5-3. <\/P>

3. Determination of heald frame driving parts
(1) The type of driving part: It is decided by the loom manufacturer according to the model of the loom and the opening form of the loom.
(2) The position of the driving part: According to the model of the loom and the opening form of the loom, it is fixed on the beam or side rail according to the one-piece heald frame and the split heald frame. The position and size refer to (Figure 5- 3~Figure 5-6) and (Table 5-4, Table 5-5). <\/P>

4. Selection of heald frame guide plate
(1) Form of guide plate
Fixed type: The guide plate of the heald frame is fixed on the beam of the heald frame with adhesive.
Movable type: The guide plate of the heald frame is fixed on the beam of the heald frame without adhesive, and can be adjusted and fixed according to the required size.
