On February 9, 2023, the US CPSC announced a recall of baby sleeping bags made in China. <\/p>\n
The recalled product is the WeeSprout baby sleeping bag. It is made from 100% cotton and is available in sizes from newborn to 36 months in the following colors: Blue Dusk, Dotted Rose, Gray Knit and Rosemary Knit. Sleeping bags of all colors and sizes are included in the recall. <\/p>\n
The zipper on the product may detach from the sleeping bag, posing a suffocation hazard to children. <\/p>\n
The recalled products were sold in the United States from August 2011 to December 2011, with approximately 31,630 units sold, priced at approximately US$17. <\/p>\n
So far, 17 reports have been received of zippers detaching from sleeping bags, and there have been no reports of casualties. <\/p>\n
CPSC recommends that you stop using the product immediately, cut it in half, take a photo and discard it. Contact WeeSprout to receive a $17 refund or credit in the form of a gift card. <\/p>\n
