However, due to the global economic slowdown, the country&#8217;s clothing exports fell by 8.7% in December.  <\/p>\n<p>The country&#8217;s textile exports in 2011 were US$354 million, a decrease of 0.5% compared with the same period in 2021.  According to the country&#8217;s central bank&#8217;s &#8220;Trade Performance&#8221; report, the export value of other textile products during the same period was US$115 million, a decrease of 10.1% compared with 2021.  <\/p>\n<p>The report shows that in 2011, the export value of textiles, clothing, and other textile products accounted for 56.87% of Sri Lanka&#8217;s total manufacturing exports; the total export value of textiles and clothing was US$5.952 billion.  , an increase of 9.5% compared with the same period in 2021.  <\/p>\n<p>However, the country&#8217;s textile and clothing exports in December 2011 fell 9.7% compared with the same period in 2021, reaching US$482 million.
