On September 22, 2023, Health Canada announced a recall of jackets produced in China and Vietnam. <\/p>\n
The product involved this time is the Mountain Equipment Company (MEC) jacket. The product has a zipper and drawstring at the waist, comes with a hood, comes in three colors, sizes are 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16, and the style number is 6017-367. <\/p>\n
The product’s drawstring may get stuck on playground equipment, fences or other objects, causing the user to be strangled or dragged away by a vehicle. <\/p>\n
The products recalled were sold from August 2022 to September 2023, with approximately 837 units sold. <\/p>\n
As of September 15, 2023, no accidents or casualties have been reported. <\/p>\n
Health Canada recommends that you stop using this product immediately and remove the drawstring from your waist. <\/p>\n
